The FIFA Interactive World Cup 2009 gets underway on October 15, 2009, with EA SPORTS™ FIFA 09 players on PLAYSTATION®3 able to stake their claim for greatness and a USD 20,000 cash prize.

Last year, over 25,000 players competed in the online leg of the FIFA Interactive World Cup via PLAYSTATION®Network; furthermore, from New Zealand to South Africa, Brazil to Korea, the USA and Italy, thousands of goals were scored and countless half-time oranges devoured as players dribbled, headed and scored their way through the tournament's 20 live qualifying rounds, culminating in the Grand Final in Berlin.

To enter this year's tournament, pick up a copy of FIFA 09 (PEGI 3+) on PLAYSTATION 3 now and go to the in-game menu to sign up. If you haven’t done so already, you'll also need to sign up to PLAYSTATION Network, either by visiting store.playstation.com or direct from your PS3™.

FIFA 09 for PLAYSTATION 3 is now powered with dynamic real-world data and analytics, lifting the game to new heights of authenticity for football fans and gamers connected online.

Additionally over 250 gameplay additions and enhancements, Custom Team Tactics, 10v10 Online Team Play, adidas Live season, FIFA 'Clubs' and the enhanced Be A Pro: Seasons will offer players a unique football experience that matches the complexity, finesse and beauty of the real-world game.

I would assume that its only for UK accounts. Try it with a U.S account if you have this game and let us know.

They should make a PES09 one. I would enter.
