Four free games coming to Europe. North American plans unknown.

To coincide with the launch of its new 3D Bravia television sets this summer, Sony plans to release several PlayStation 3 stereoscopic 3D download titles on the PlayStation Network.

Those who purchase a 3D Bravia set this June will be given a voucher code that can be used to download these four titles for free through the PlayStation Store:

- WipEout HSad Awesome full 3D game (not including WipEout HD Fury)
- PAIN: 3 x 3D episodes + 1 x 2D tutorial
- Super Stardust HSad Awesome full 3D game (not including DLC)
- MotorStorm Pacific Rift: single level 3D demo

Sony plans to release a firmware update for PlayStation 3 that will enable 3D playback.

This is a limited offer, and has only been announced in European territories. We've contacted Sony to see if this same offer applies to North America as well. We'll update this story when we hear back.

Do a barrel roll!
3D TVs cost too much though lol. Might have to wait an extra year or two to get one.

I'm not looking forward to 3D gaming at all. They just need to come up with better and smoother gameplay.
