Rockstar’s revealed the co-op mode for Red Dead Redemption, with a free mission pack to release in June for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
Up to four players can play some of the missions in the pack, known as “Outlaws to the End”, with six of them in total in the DLC. Rockstar’s detail three of them in the press release.
“Multiplayer in Red Dead Redemption offers players a whole new way to encounter the massive open world we’ve created,” said Rockstar co-president Sam Houser, “but we felt the experience would not be complete without co-op game play.
“With these missions, we wanted to create new ways for players to share in the experience of engaging with this amazing landscape.”

I hope this won't be the only DLC for this game. Obviously, this one is planned because they wanted to see the game out in the public so the bugs could be worked out.
However, I really hope they add stuff to the Free Roam. Some of the things in the game. Poker for instance, and the ability to use the lasso. The Free Roam becomes dry after a while and needs some more "ooomph".
Multiplayer matches are cool though. Wish there was slightly more creativity in them. Still, the ability to call your horse in and escape from a TDM is awesome, only to come speeding back into the map, guns-a-blazing!
This is an interesting article talking about the first DLC referring to it as 1 of 3. Hopefully that is true. If it is false hopefully there will be more than 3.
