Atari boss Phil Harrison has extolled Sony’s efforts with its social networking phenomenon, PlayStation Home, stating that his former employer has "brilliantly realised their ambitions".
Speaking at an Atari press event earlier this week, Harrison spoke of his involvement in the Home beta, affirming his belief that Sony "will have a very successful platform.”
Home is expected to enter its open beta stage before the end of the year following numerous delays.
Harrison also admitted he has been tinkering about with Microsoft’s improved Xbox 360 dashboard:
"I was quite impressed actually with some of the things that [Microsoft has] done," he said. “They're just scratching the surface of what the whole industry recognises is that customisation, socialisation and community platforms are going to be just as important as the games themselves."
The funny thing is phil harrison likes the new xbox "experience", but most of the people I talk to who have an xbox360 says it sucks.
