Post: recording in HD?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was recently looking around the forums, and I came across a thread where someone was asking about dazzles and HD and stuff. In the reply's, someone said "Just make sure you have an HD TV". I don't have an HD TV but I still want to record in HD. Is this fact true?

spending vbux, offer me..
im pretty sure you need a HD TV to record in HD (with the PVR anyway)

It records what is sent to the TV to be 'outputted' and if it sent HD stuff to a SD TV it wouldnt play... so no, i think you need a hd tv (with a PVR anyway... not sure about other cap cards)

Well, with the HDPVR the way it (mine) is set up, the out from the conslole goes the the HDPVR and then it sends to the TV. The signal from the PVR to the computer is via USB, so in reality you could watch it on your Monitor instead of the TV as you capture it. Not sure how easy that would be though. I just read up a bit on the Dazzle HD plus. The title is a bit misleading. It stated that it still captures tv in standard def. but with the software you can edit HD footage from and HD vid camera. Hope this helped.

techincaly that works but I tried it once and im sure you have noticed the second or two lag between comp and TV... it would be really hard to get a good game / clip playing like emile heskey

Yes I would completely agree. It would not work out with the lag time.
