Those who pre-order the upcoming shooter Killzone 2 will receive a pair of exclusive Killzone themed costumes, which they can wear while traversing the world of Home.

The deal is available exclusively through Amazon.com, and will give players the ability to dress up as either an ISA soldier or a Helghast Assault Trooper. Those who pre-order the game will be given codes allowing them to download the costumes, which will be available within 10 days of the games release, which is expected to be February 27.

Like the game-specific spaces, these types of promotions have the potential to be cool; unfortunately the content just isn't there right now. Walking around Home in a Helghast outfit is still the same as walking around Home in a t-shirt and jeans, which of course means there is hardly anything to do. If, say, the costume was combined with a Killzone 2 space, which featured some interesting mini-games or other content, it could be a nice little addition for fans of the game.
