After reading -Dave-'s top ten reasons i thought it would be a good idea to compile the top ten reasons on why you should buy the PS3, The image above already has shown us one reason, it is also why I have planned to move my fridge upstairs

#2 Free Online - Admittedly there is one feature that is worth paying for on Xbox and that is the cross-game chat feature however PS3 has free online and you cannot compete with something that is free. It has also been rumored that the cross-game chat will be coming to PS3 very soon

#3 Hi-Def/Blu-ray - Yeah, DVDs are great, and they're pretty much standard now, but Blu-ray/HDTV/HD gaming is the wave of the future (PS3 the only console to support Blu-ray). Blu-ray is supported by over 75% of top-named studios therefore making the PS3 ideal for entertainment purposes. There are many other advantages to Blu-ray such as the disc space however i could be here forever.

#4 Games Library - When the PS3 was first released there wasn't much to talk about in terms of game releases but in 2009 and now in 2010 the exclusives coming to PS3 just seem to be more variated with alot more of them coming in, also receiving high ratings by IGN and other game reviewers:

#5 Non-Gaming features - The PS3 can show pictures, play videos, and play music you download from the net, or from device or streaming from a computer. So does the Xbox 360, but only the PS3 will allow you to stream it to your PlayStation Portable, remotely. This means you can access your media, including Blu-ray discs, on the road using your PSP. The PS3 also supports Linux as an additional operating system and the PS3 also has a built in web-browser.

The option to download vuze(media server) on your PC will also allow you to sync films and music straight to your PS3!

#6 Cheaper – The PS3’s sticker on the box isn’t cheaper than the Xbox however it comes complete. For example the controllers. All three systems come with wireless controllers, but the PS3’s controller is the only one that’s rechargeable out of the box.

Want to get online using your wi-fi network? On the Xbox 360, that will require a $100 dollar wireless upgrade kit (with the exception of the new Xbox) while on the PS3 it is already built in

#7 Compatibility with TV's - When you go to buy higher-end TVs, the PS3 will support the highest possible audio and video input the TV and receiver can accept. If and when high-def movies start requiring an Image Constraint Token which downsamples Hi-Def , the PS3 will still be able play them in high definition.

#8 Headsets - Their is one clear advantage about a PS3 headset that makes it better than others and that is the bluetooth capabilities. This means that the user can connect the headset just my simply activating it and then putting it on their ear without any wire attachments. The bluetooth headsets are available almost everywhere and come at cheap prices (I got mine for £10.99)

There are legitimate Sony PS3 headsets which do cost abit more however there's many others that work perfectly including mine which hasn't failed me yet and i'm sure there are many more people who would agree.



#9 CPU (Hardware) - The GPUs on the Xbox 360 and PS3 are roughly the same. The difference in CPU power, however, is far greater with the PS3 enjoying the advantage. The PS3 has eight CPUs (one primary “PPU” and seven Cell processors) give it potentially far more computing power than the three CPUs in the Xbox 360. It's a fact that the CPU's are also more powerful in the PS3. Also the fan on the Playstation makes alot less noise than the fan on the Xbox

#10 Customisation - PS3 much like the Xbox can be customised in many different ways, whether it be a custom paint job or controller modification such as rapid fire or LED modifications, almost anything can be done.
