In case you'd overloaded on Gears of War 3 info in the last few days - it's understandable, what with the new media, the beta news and a massively detailed preview hitting X360A - let us bring you back down to earth and talk about a game that you might already own: Gears of War 2.

After RAAM successfully defeated Dr Breen in Gamespot's Greatest Villain feature, Gears' Executive Producer, Rod Fergusson, tweeted a few more details on what players can expect from the next XP extravaganza, scheduled for this coming Halloween.

"Gears 2 hits "Games on Demand" on Oct 12th. To welcome new players we're going to increase the XP multiplier to 4x from then to 28th," said Fergusson, "And then we go crazy from the 29th to 1st with our 31x multiplier and chainsaw massacre Horde event for Halloween! RAAM thanks you!"

Chainsaw massacre horde? A 31 times XP multiplier? Sounds... well, crazy. Pencil this one in the diary folks, it could be messy.
