Post: PS3 Not Reading Discs Help Please?

Well when i came home from school today i went on my ps3 thats on firmware 3.50 and thats working perfect nothing wrong with that. Its just when i was going to test someone's patch on my other ps3 3.41 I tried to load up mw2 and it never went on?, i have tried it with other games and it still wont work
, im really pist off because thats the ps3 that i was going to update tonight so i can host 2 lobbies at the same time and also the one thats on 3.50 is NOT mins its my uncle's who letting me borrow it till Call of Duty Black ops comes out!, so tbh i really need help fixing this because i am going to be playing BO with that ps3 hopefully!, Thanks whoever helps me and also i will +Rep you.

OPTION 3 will scan your PS3 for any corrupt files.

nope, its the fat 60GB. i bought it off ebay for £150 and when i recieved it there was nothing wrong it worked perfect, then this happens?, im fuked like

Mannn that sucks, usually the Phat ones get killed by YLOD not Blu-Ray problems. Well two things you could do try the RECOVERY MENU first if it finds a corrupted file then your going to have to do option 4 to get i fixed if that doesn't work then do a FULL SYSTEM RESTORE **you will loose everything though** if that doesn't work well call SONY and for $150 bucks **if the warranty sticker is still intact** you get a new 120 GB slim.

See if it reads regular dvds because when my laser when out I could play dvd and PS2/1. That's a good way to tell it's crapped out.
