He then pointed the finger at current CEO Howard Stringer and said:

^^ I beg to differ. They're falling behind their competitors on all fronts and are relying on their last few strong years to keep them going.

Still, saying racist things like that is pretty uncool.

No offense but the Japanese know how to make games.

Correction there. They knew how to make games, they are losing market, they are losing confidence and their evolution in gaming has turned great franchises into bubu. JPN is famous for RPG games, FF6, castlevania and suikoden has all turned crappy. Resident evil was the most loved horror game and RE5 is like a dry sock wanting to have a "made in america" stamp on it. In fact, as we see it now, the big RPG titles of today are dragon age, fallout and elder scrolls. All good titles, all of them stealing market from companies that used to make the best games for the console market.

If you listen to what the japanese companies are saying "we are losing to the american gaming companies" and "we need to become more like the american companies in order to get back in marketing position" you will understand that japan has been falling behind.

The problem is that the japanese were great at making games a certain way, they still are, and I would like to see those kinds of games today, but somehow they feel those kinds of games wouldn't cut it in todays market with the new systems, something that I feel is totally off, they would be appreciated for going back to their roots.

SONY used to be ahead of the competition in hardware and technology while they still are IN A SENSE it just isn't enough anymore. In this day and age where the BOX is an inferior product yet comes out on top in pretty much every category something must be done and removing Other O.S. and putting more strict guidelines on the system is not the way to go. Take a look at GRAN TURISMO 5 Japan got that special edition BLUE PS3 bundle prior to that they got the YAKUZA 3 WHITE BUNDLE why don't these S.E. PS3's come out in the U.S. or UK and are limited to JPN because releasing in other market would only cause SONY to sell more UNITS so this strategy really doesn't make any sense. Sony still knows how to make games which is the good part, but the fact that we need to step up to compete with an inferior console is ridiculous. :bye:

the main reason for the BOX selling so good is the chain effect

1)console launches 2 years earlier in some countries
2)1 million + people buy it
3)Those people have friends who want to play with them so even if they would prefer a PS3 they would rather play with there friends
4)PS3 is released late casue sony tried to make it a good as they possibily could and then they suffer for it
5)the people who got the xbox as soon as it was out realease, realise it was rushed (Red Ring Of Death) and then just get it replaced cause they already have the game saves and games for it so why trade all them in?
