I think your PS3 is malfunctioned and the motherboard is ****ed, you can't really say your PS3 has got YLOD as YLOD is like omg turn on, Yellow Light either way I'd get a new one/get it repaired just incase because little things turn into big things.

mine does that to it isn't nothing big it just resets your video settings if you had hdmi it would go back to av mine does it after it freezes

no it resets your settings if you press the turn on button and hold it down until it makes one more *peeP*

Yep, it's YLOD. Follow this guys Tutorial, and your PS3 WILL get fixed. Trust me, I followed his tutorial and I fixed my YLOD with ease.
