Today KaKaRoToKS has confirmed via Twitter news of PS3 downgrade success from version 3.55 to 3.41 PlayStation 3 Firmware.
This confirmation comes just days since his PS3 Custom Firmware surfaced and under a month after the PSGrade free PS3 Downgrading hex codes arrived for version 3.5 and below consoles, followed by Sony revoking lv2diag.self file_1 and patching PS3 downgrading in the PS3 Firmware 3.55 update.
Here is his Tweet, to quote: "First downgrade from 3.55 to 3.41 successful, Thanks to Xtse! Method not yet ready for the masses because of risk of bricking the ps3."
Currently this is all the details available, but we will update this post as more surface as always!

People should work on signing PKG because once that's done there will be no need for JailBreak.
signing PKGs dont give you access to all of the PS3 like jailbreaking does, which is why the current MFW doesnt support piracy whereas jailbreaking does...

CFW obviously supports Piracy. It's Karatos who prevented this in his CFW.
With time , Teams like Acidic will release a CFW which supports pircay.
Also, I believe that a signed Back-manager in Karatos CFW will enable piracy.
