Sony and Activision have announced its plans to release a Home space today based around the Guitar Hero franchise. With three Home spaces expected on a monthly basis, this is without a doubt one of the hottest franchises to start that run off with.

According to the PlayStation Blog, the space will feature a band stage littered with instrument cases around it. On top of that, users have the opportunity to check out behind the scenes footage as well as trailers for upcoming titles in the Guitar Hero series.

Pushing the bill even further is a cool mini-game that challenges users via a memory "match the chords" offering. The game will be released with fully-fledged leaderboards and Home's community team will be on hand Friday to give out special prizes to leaders every hour.



The space also features a VIP Room near the back which is sectioned off by a velvet rope. For now, there is nothing planned for this area of the space, though Activision has asked for user suggestions as to what should be included behind the roped-off entry way. Stay tuned.
