I don't play games anymore so I will sell my ps3 that is on 3.55 which from what I've seen from the recent threads is jailbreakable ? If you would kindly point me in the direction of how to jailbreak 3.55 that would be great and if there isn't a 3.55 JB the sorry ... But here is the real question:

How does sony ban? Like if I sell my console will other people be able to play on psn? I think maybe my MAC got banned? or something of the kind ... Can I sell the PS3 and be in good standing with the buyer (like he can access PSN?) If so I will be selling my 3.55 PS3 in the next few days

everytime a ps3 connects to psn, there are logs. What seperates each other ps3 are the mac address. This also show on the logs (I believe) and this is done to keep track of plenty of things. Hacks, advertising, etc.

If you sell the console, the ps3 mac will still be banned rendering online play.

Just sell it to gamestop or EB Games.

You can use the Geohotz custom firmware to jailbreak and then install the psid changer pkg to unban yourself if I'm not mistaken. It's well worth a try.

go to a friends house and creat a new account and see if it works

they usally banned ur console but u never know u might just get an ip ban

If you are banned take the hdd out and sell it for spare's & repair's

My IP isn't dynamic therefore it changes so no they don't 'ip' ban
