Is there a program or package that I can install on my PS3 which records the screen of the ps3? I'm looking for something like FRAPS on pc, something that will record and then I can transfer the files back on to my laptop to edit. Is this possible, or will I just have to invest in one of those recording devices like a dazzle or something?

Hey bro, at the moment theres nothing you can install of the PS3. plus i highly doubt there will be because then how would you get the info to you PC for editing? and in addition how would you accuratel start and stop the recording program? Because to do that it would make you back out of the game u were in every time u needed to start/stop it... which would blow.
The best recording solution is a HD-PVR. Hope that helps

I doubt your going to see anything like that
Recording data is quite a pull on hardware i doubt the PS3 has enough spare power to deal with it.
We only just got SD recording and that 30secs long.
That said recording supported by the FW so if somebody can unlock that could work only in SD.
