They wouldn't risk lawsuits like that.

I highly doubt that. Because then they'd have a horde of gamers wanting a new system

Thats the biggest piece of crap i ever heard. Its been ages since i seen an actual fresh new PS1 copy in retail stores and hell i know ppl buy the PSN version since theres is quite a few is worth buying so that someone don't know what the hell he/she is talking about. Despite no PS2 B/C on newer PS3s, there will always be PS1 B/C no matter what.

well the truth is that i recently bought a used ps3, it was advertised 60gb in the store but it played ps2/1 games like a 80gb so i looked under the system it had the model# of a 80gb so now im worried, cud it be that the casing is just from a 80gb and it has 60gb hardware?

but i looked at the system info n it says total GB is 37 so can it even be a 60gb hard drive in there? did i really get bamboozled? atleast it has 4 usb ports like its suppose to?

then i called the person who owned the store and he said oh, the 60gb are all dead sony bricked them becuz of the ps2 bc then he said bigger hardrives usually tend to breakdown systems faster so thts why it had onli 40gb..... shud i go to the police if he doesnt give me my money back?

the emulated BC is dependent on the files on the PS3 already. its not like sony has to keep updating it.

wow dude. Sony did not brick them. they discontinued them because of the extra hardware used for emulating the PS2. too costly.

I have the old PS3 with 4 usbs, 60 gb, ps2 combability.

If they remove the combability I will tell them to give me a new console and some money. And I know I will win.
