any help would be greatly appreciated.

its getting stuck on the 1.06 patch update for black ops?
try taking out the disc, unplugging everything, than replug everything and insert the disc. if you have problems from there double check that your on 3.56 firmware by checking the systems settings.
if you are on 3.56 then call sony and see if they can help you.
