Im not against hacking at all. I AM against all the noob wanna be hackers that got CFW and ruined the mulitplayer on pretty much every CoD. That was dumb but people that actually know how to hack should keep doing it just don't give Step by Step TuT's anymore so the noobs have to figure some stuff out for themselves.

Mostly against. If people feel the need to hack, go on PC, no one gives a shit. Ps3 has hundreds of thousands of people who play online daily, and all you need it one dumb-ass to ruin it for you. Then again, some people who are actually intelligent and are the founders of these hacks should keep it to themselves, and not post stupid tutorials so a pubescent 12 year old can do it and laugh at you because he has a special golden gun, which makes him feel like he has a big *ick.

hey, im 13 and i really do understand you. I only used CFW for FTP (useful transfering from PC to PS3 i.e. Movies, Music without having to unplug - plug in usb) but then i saw zombie hack and thought i'd try it but online hacking is against anything i do. I would only usually hack Single Player offline.

If hacking had been done to create homebrew that would be fine, but all everyone is trying to do is cheat in online games, start illegal activities by obtaining backups they don't own and just cause damage to small videogame companies. Everyone says "Yeah, fk sony!, geohot rulz!" or whatever, but hotz doesn't support piracy, sony made this console, they give free online services. Sure, their tech support may suck, they may impose ridiculous limitations, even remove a feature very few people actually used (cause let's be honest, whoever wants to use linux on the ps3 probably have it on their own pc).
Everyone wonders why can't we make use of our own gaming consoles, since they're our own we can do whatever we want with them. After reading several posts in different scene forums, I can imagine that one of the reasons they decided to launch the firmware was to prevent all of this. But people become criminals in one way when they start to say "oh, I violated the terms of agreement but I still want to keep obtaining the benefits!", everyone can cheat, I think of cheating with those horrible trophies that require endless grinding to be obtained, but violating a contract and playing games that you never purchased is always a bad thing.
People want to be free to do what they want to do, and here, you can see the reason most people don't allow them to.

Im with it, mostly because homebrew gives the ps3 community a chance to develop further more the system and open more options for the user.
