Whats the trick to get it to work? or is anyone able to get it working?

I was finally able to get it working. The trick is to have the mic on before you start the game. Make sure it works and is on by going to the accessories settings, start game, invite friend to group and then you can talk to each other. Kind of buggy sometimes and the key to actually make sure the mic is on, under the accessories.
