You say because of rootkit there wont be a CFW? Wrong. Some still want to use it, even if its offline.

There is NO rootkit, and it was proven a couple days ago.

I haven't seen that many hacked lobbies on Mw2 or Cod4. i guess
the recent kill switch rumor caused over 70% Of hackers to switch back to OFW and delete there patch_mp.ff to prevent the bricking of there ps3.
