(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so my nat has been strict for a couple of months now but ive never noticed since ive been playing my 360 it always said it was open.Now im playing my PS3 since my xbox got red rings and everytime i test my connection it says Type 3 which i think is Strict.And ive tried everything to try to get it to Type 2 ive tried DMZ mode and forwarding ports nothing has worked still says 3 what do i do?

Hi RussHz Well First of all as many know and I agree with those many the 360 has dedicated servers for more stable conections but the ps3 unfortunatly not but the answer for Ur problem, U must call your ISP (internet service provider) and tell them to open a new port for your ps3 or tell them that you are getting a Strict NAT and plz u need to get it open and they will change it if they are nice people or nice ISPs

Well i guess its cause i had AT&T that i recently got which was straight Garbage so i switched back to comcaast and my nat type is back to 2 thanx for the help anyway

that's how i changed my NAT-typ....
first of all i UPDATE my ROUTER
than i give my ps3 a IP like 130 at the end (network settings)
now i open up some ports on my router 4 my ps3 (i think u dont need it)
start up game and u shud have a open nat typ

You should try bridging your modem to your router, this gave me Open nat, i have also tryed everything you said and nothing worked but this, also here is well explained thread on how to do it.
