Media Molecule is continuing their impressive support for Little Big Planet, with April full of upcoming goodies (both free and premium) for the creativity-boosting title. In a recent PlayStation Blog post, SCEA has outlined all the additional content that's on the way, including the 1.12 "Cornish Yarg" update, a new batch of creator tools, and a litany of costume packs that includes designs based on Heavenly Sword and Egyptian and Norse mythology.
The highlights of the incoming content are easily the new patch and Creator Pack 1 (both free), which will arrive on April 16 and April 23, respectively. The patch (among other things) will add a music player that'll allow gamers to choose songs from the XMB to play during create mode and in their Pod, an improved decoration mode for Sackboy customization, and unspecified improvements to the LittleBigStore. Even more exciting are the new options in the Creator Pack 1, which includes an infinite lives checkpoint, the option to tweak visibility on certain joint objects, a global settings object to trigger lighting changes, a (gasp) tether-free jetpack, and something called an "angle range proximity switch" (which apparently adds "additional functionality on proximity and magnetic key switches").

As for the costume packs, following the release of the Rag Doll Kung Fu pack last Thursday, April 16 will bring a free Monkey King costume, then the Heavenly Sword Mini-Pack for $2.99 on April 23, the Egyptian Mythology Mini-Pack for $2.99 on April 30, and finally the Norse Mythology Mini-Pack for $2.99 spilling over to May 7.
