Here is my comment I wrote on the petition (I know it's not needed, but I felt like posting it anyway):
This is ridiculous. Sony, you have taken all of this too far. I should be able to run homebrew, back up MY games, and install software onto MY PS3. Do you guys really think that this stuff is ban-worthy? If it's pirates your are worried about, this will only make the problem worse. They won't update because they are banned; And will download a bunch of games because they can't play with their friends.
