but it might not be true. because Sony would be well within their rights to sue Microsoft too for funding harmful project that are damaging their products. Literally corporate war fair and I'm sure a decent non-biased judge will see it in favor of the company being unfairly targeted.

Meh, the article says "Microsoft may have played". I would rather see an announcement made by either GeoHot or Microsoft. Until then, it is all speculation.

No, I don't think it will ever happen. Even if it is 100% true, Microsoft would release a statement saying "No comment", like very other company does when they don't want to confirm or deny anything. Plus, this gains Microsoft fan points without them doing anything.
