How do you know when your PS3 is bricked?
#1.)You turn your PS3 on, and you have a black screen.
#2.)You turn your PS3 on, and it freezes.
#3.)You turn your PS3 on, and it does nothing.

if i comes on runs for a few seconds beeps 2 or 3 times and goes back red you have the ylod so yes bricked

it dosent beep out of the ordinairy just the regular on n off

look up a vid on youtube about ps3 ylod and see if thats what its doing if not then try to get it into recovery mode
