Yes it would work.

Actually, it depends. Not all drives are interchangeable. My 40GB CECHG and my 80GB CECHE aren't interchangeable. And, you'd have to swap the logic boards on the drives. They only work for that specific console.

If you swap it, might work but then again they could be different since they use different model numbers and other stuff which makes it work.
