So, you guys have been enjoying your online gaming on the PlayStation Network (PSN) for a while, well, not for long. It is expected that PSN will undergo some sporadic maintenance from approximately 9am to 3pm PST, on Thursday 03/17/2011. Yeah, that’s today.



There are no details what we could expect from the maintenance but I’m sure that it is done to prevent those who are using CFW (including me) from break into the PSN. This is because recently, there are buttloads of new methods to get anyone running CFW, either they are banned or not, to access the network. Expect a much better security in this one than last month’s massive maintenance.

I think it's probably going to be Sony attempting to put something into place that actually will check your FW version when you sign-in, but we still have ****PSN and PS3DNS w/ Charles.

I won't get banned. It's not even that hard to not get banned, just update your ps3 and BOOM, you're magically safe.

Well if there's no details why then why would you come up with bans.? It could be anything but you decide to scare some people with this

I think Sony is taking this to another level.

3.60 was an update for security on the ps3 and then they were going to change the psn protocol, so this is most probably it. its not a scare tactic... i wouldn't of posted it if i didn't think it was 100% a scare tactic
