Being a SOCOM fan and having played the demo that released two days ago I am hopeful but having spent about 3 hours on the demo now there are several things I don't like. The player movement is horrible you feel so stiff, the over the shoulder angle is also horrible it will get you killed quickly, the COM PUSH up to talk works when it wants to and there's no indicator so you don't know if it's working or not, to get into cover you literally have to be next to the object and then to get out of cover same thing it just feels bad over all. Main thing any SOCOM fan will notice is there's NO LOBBIES PEOPLE I'm sure this is to prevent the old GLITCHES/TRICKS lobbies but still the community is what had made SOCOM well SOCOM. The game as it is has potential but they need to start taking there fan base into consideration.
Like killzone 3 and resistance 3
Along with the countless other games they are moving away from the fan base which made them.
They believe changing it means more sales and more players.
Strange thing is that never works. Why play this game when the other game was here first doing the same thing.
Sadly it appears devs fail to see the mistakes of the past and trying to clone all games into the same things.
It only going to end like hollywood killing off studios.
Zipper already said they are changing the cam , idk the game already gold.
Also are willing to change other things but it a little too late tbh.
Much like killzone 3 at this point if i was zipper i would delay it myself
It time for devs to make games have there own niche and innovation within that niche.
Btw if your from the EU your going to get lag on US servers
