Raven Software and Sledgehammer games are helping Infinity Ward with development of Modern Warfare 3, according to reports.
The LA Times claims “people familiar with the situation” have told the paper that the game is well into production and is set for release in November this year.
While Infinity Ward has completed development on previous titles in the series alone, it is reportedly being assisted by California studio Sledgehammer Games – founded in 2009 by former members of Dead Space developer Volition – in its work on Modern Warfare 3’s singleplayer mode.
The Times also claims Singularity developer Raven Software is helping develop the game’s multiplayer component. Sources say that Sledgehammer’s involvement will mean a delay for its mooted action-adventure Call Of Duty game which was also reportedly due this year.
The news gives further weight to the belief that Infinity Ward are understaffed and a very different studio following the sudden departure last March of studio heads Vince Zampella and Jason West. They were followed out of the door by swathes of staff and are now locked in an increasingly bitter legal battle with publisher Activision, have set up their own studio, Respawn Entertainment, and signed a publishing deal with EA.
Earlier this week Infinity Ward claimed they were powerless to fix problems with the online component of PS3 Modern Warfare 2, citing recent breaches in system security that it said it needed Sony to fix.
In response to the rumours, Activision said: “There’s been much speculation recently. We look forward to releasing details for the next Call Of Duty in the near future.”

I Like the way BFBC3 Looks. But I don't know lets see once November gets here, and lets see what Modern Warfare 3 Looks like
