Ok, i put in COD4, then i try playing it, the disc is scratched but it's still able to start the game and play storyline and stuff.

Then when i click play online, it won't download the game settings to show me the playlist. (Tdm,ffa,etc.)

if i go to private match it will freeze my console but the music continues to play.

if i go to LAN party it tells me i need a network connection. so its basically saying i have no network connection, when i do because im signed into psn when trying to play online duh..

I dont know if its my game system not being able to read scratched disc(but the game loads fine it just won't download the playlists or whatever.) because on my brothers ps3 it works perfectly it doesn't freeze,or anything.

i've already deleted the patch and re-installed it.
i've switch the eithernet cables with the ps3s and still nothing happened.
i have played cod4 on my system about 1 or 2 times where it would work.

my only problem is why does it keep telling me i have no internet connection when it worked before and works perfect on my brothers ps3.

Psn is down ..you can't play anygame online, only story mode and split screen .

You don't understand, me and my brothers ps3 is connected to the same router i could take cod4 out of my ps3 put it in his ps3 and it would work fine, no loading errors, nothing its perfect.. im just going to buy a new cod4. our ps3 are right next to eachother also.

Same mate . My brother was playing cod4 when i tried to play i couldnt same the problem for u . Dont sell it .just turn the router for 5min , make you sure on multiplayer menu then sign in there.you will not lose anything . this is the problem on 'Cod4' the most of the world know it.

Also, do you know if the connection issue has anything to do with the console freezing when i go to the private match menu? it doesn't freeze if i CAN connect, only freezes when playlist CanNOT connect. reply when you can, thanks.
