(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I recently purchased Mortal Kombat 9 1 hour ago, brand new and everytime I put it in my system It would say loading, then it would check the hard drive, then the WB logo comes up after that it will say "powered by gamespy" then it will show a black screen forever. Any suggestions. All my other games work I just check. Portal 2, Modern Warfare 2, BFBC2, and Crysis 2.

Bought a new Mortal Kombat. Works now. please close thread.

Try going to game data utility and delete the MK9 patch and let it re-download and it should fix it, it worked on my cousin's ps3.

keep tryn. unplug ur ps3 maybe.. i got mk & that's never happened . wipe disc.. game is awesome but no psn, no online competition . sucks

I was gonna say are you one the newest firmware but portal 2 works so of course you are.. Maybe an update is needed that you can't get because of no psn.

Then look on your game case spine, and find the code it should be like BLUS-XXXXX
type that into the website and it will pull up a patch see if there's one needed. If there is that's probably the problem.
