It would be safe, but pointless seeing in how ofw is about to update just because is minior set back. I can't see any other reason why not.

Safe but useless... After all who is really going to make a 3.60 cfw.. In my opinion , PS3 Hacking scene is now dead.... I personally think only geohot was/ and still is the only one smart enough to do that...

private signing keys need to be found for it to be installed on a 3.60 ofw console

Safe in what aspect? I'd say it would be stupid to release a cfw now.
1. PSN will have an update soon and make 3.60 cfw useless. Unless you can bypass that prompt to reset your password etc.
2. Sony beat GeoHotz they can do it again and probably will. It wouldn't be very smart to do seeing as they can access your PS3's data and see what you have been doing.
3. Sony will definitely have beefed up there security, God knows how fast they will throw out bans now. Not to mention possibly sue downloaders of the cfw. Thanks to re-bug people can steal pstore items and that probably pissed sony off even more.
Bottom line NO, AND NEVER. unless a bill is issued saying it is alright to do these things Sony has the advantage. I doubt someone wants to go through with geohotz did again. O.o

Looks fun tho, for people who want to mod offline or something on xlink kai without being risk getting banned.. So they can release if they want but if you do that i guess u cant play online at all because of old firmware
