Why would you want to play PS3 on your laptop screen? If you have a small TV, just buy a new one 32" is pretty cheap these days.

I believe you can monitor your PS3 on your laptop if you have a Sony laptop, not sure.

What would brand have to do with anything? It's not like sony makes their own OS.

That said,
You can probably do it with a caputure card, but it would be a pretty stupid idea, and their would be some input lag.
