I play mw2 a lot and it is lagging so much. i dont play online but in offline split screen 4 player it lags like hell. like when we take fmj or harrier or pavelow. its very hard to play like that and i was wondering if its a fault with my game or the ps3. i am sure that there are no scratches on the disk. but even when i play my backup mw2 off an external it lag when i take fmj etc. its actually really hot where i live so is it due to over heating? my game also freezes a lot
but this is somehow not happening for other games... black ops runs pretty smooth in 2 players but havent tried 4.

it happened to me before i think you need to clean your disk if not there is something wrong with your ps3. when i cleaned mine it worked well

then how come it happens even when i run it off an external hdd...
