The PlayStation Network (PSN) has been down since the middle of April, when Sony discovered the service had been attacked by hackers who stole sensitive user data.
Since then the company has been working to ensure that the service is properly secured. The online gaming part of the service was restored two weeks ago but certain features, including the PlayStation Store remained offline.

In a blog post, the company said the remaining services would be back online before the end of the week for customers everywhere except Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea.
“We have been conducting additional testing and further security verification of our commerce functions in order to bring the PlayStation Network completely back online so that our fans can again enjoy the first class entertainment experience they have come to love,” said Kazuo Hirai, Sony’s executive deputy president. “We appreciate the patience and support shown during this time.”

When the PlayStation Store is back online, PSN users will be able to claim their Welcome Back package, which includes two free games, and 30-days of free membership to the premium PlayStation Plus service.[/COLOR]

PS Store will be down forever :derp: - if i was sony i wouldnt have commented on when the ps store was going to be up and just insured ppl that PSN cards and vouchers will be redeemable after the outrage and explained what they have to do before PS Store could go online, instead we have just got bs information and they released the Welcome Back package way too early, should have been 2 days before they knew the ps store would go back up instead they released the information 2 weeks ago and ppl are left waiting to access the content they promised us.

They should know how impatient people are lol come on lol...

A bit longer and we get our ps store back :ftw
