Sony PS3 firmware 3.65 is out officially. I made this thread so you can post any information about changes and updates as soon as it comes out. Hopefully this is in conjunction with an E3 announcement.

1:21am EST 6/7/11 PS3 in the USA are showing the required firmware update notification.
So far Sony has not updated their website (it still reads 3.61 is the latest firmware), so it is not known if you can install 3.65 on secondary hard drives.
It has been announced in a most generic method. That some changes have been made to improve PS3 stability, and the SaveData Utility minis/PSP has been updated.

1:46am EST as usual the normal Bypass methods work for now. This usually stop working in less then a week.
Set your Primary dns to 67.202.81.137
and your secondary dns to 67.202.81.137
This is in network settings on your PS3.

2:11 am EST: Data Transfer seems to still work as it did. I have not encountered any problems yet.

6:00pm EST My 3.61FW PS3 is no longer telling me an update is available.
I will update as more news arrives.

I'm hoping this update just is related to the E3 announcements.

Iv manged to sign in on 3.61, i check update by internet and it says 3.65 found, but im still signed in playin on line not using bypass, dont think its a must to update

same here i did it twice maybe it was a mistake pre release

no mistakes, it is a optional update. at least for now

Now w/o bypass I don't even get a message telling me an updates available. Maybe their was a flaw with it? Strange...

im pretty sure its just a optional update for now.
