So this is my story 2 months ago my original PS3 broke after 3 years,so i took the deal Sony offer to customers,trade in my broken PS3 & buy a Refurbished (by Sony) PS3 for €160. So what im thinking is ringing up sony and telling them my PS3 cant connect to PSN since the maintenence & get a free replacement. So what i need to know,would my PS3 be under warranty which i have 2 months still be under warranty & would that be a good excuse. Thanks for any help. it's just i dont want to sound like a dumbass on the phone.

Since it's still under warranty and it broke, you can send it to them and they will repair it for free. If you want a new PS3 by telling them you can't connect, you need to give a reason. (Ethernet connector doesn't work, WiFi can't connect, etc.) But if you do that I think they will just repair it. Just try and see what you get. Hang up in the middle if its not working out.
