(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi,

Every PS3 I get seem to own overheat all the time and im not sure what im doing wrong.

The room is a converted loft and does get extremely hot inside. The PS3 is in the middle of a tv stand which is located in, if you could imagine an inverted fire place groove. I do open windows to cool down the room but this does not help as last night the YLOD struck me again.

Does anyone have any tips to keep the PS3 cool? Also how can I get a cool flow of air around the back of the TV unit to stop the PS3 overheating so much and avoid this stupid YLOD?

Ta

You have the Ps3 inside a 5 sided box correct? 2 sides, top and bottom and back are all closed in? 1 thing you could could do is pull the Ps3 out of that and put it on the floor infront of your stand to allow air flow to the back.

Another thing you could try is buying a cooling fan. My friend got one awhile back.

Put Ps3 away from Walls and do what i do i got a Fan and put it in rotating mode a little to the ps3 and a little to me.

Make sure the PS3 is close to the fan

Yeah, make sure that there are no walls blocking the PS3's fans, and also try to get a fan and face that at the PS3
