So Much Win.
The current PlayStation slim is already quite a nice slim, sleek console. Apparently Sony are not content with the current design, thus another revision of Consoles are soon to be hitting a store near you. The new “CECH-3000B” model will feature a standard 320gb Hard-drive. This revised console will drop weight from 3.0kg to 2.6kg, and power consumption from 230W to 200W.
Reports indicate that the power and eject buttons will have minor changes, as well as the removal of LED lamps. Until the actual model is out in the open however, details are scarce regarding the physical changes. Pricing for the new unit will remain the same as current consoles, so if you’re hanging on the edge for a PS3, do yourself a favor and wait it out.
