Chris Morgan recently wrapped up his script for the Gears of War movie, and it's right around now that the folks behind the production of the film need to start thinking about a cast, with Marcus Fenix obviously being the most important character. While you may think thespians such as Sean Penn, Mickey Rourke, and Bruce Willis would do well in the role, Morgan actually likes Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, he told MTV.

Morgan applauds The Rock's depth, saying he can "play the tough guy, but he can also play the nuanced, sensitive funny sad moments as well." He would need that depth, too, because if there's anything that must make it into the film, it's the game's deep, emotional storyline and characters.

Personally, I didn't care for his role in doom and I can just picture the gears of war movie turning out the same way...I think Micky Rourke or Batista would make a good Marcus they have similar facial geometry and features imo Micky has the scars though something Batista doesn't.

I was hoping they would use the very people who voice the characters in the game but obviously the guy that voices Marcus doesn't look anything like him but the guy that does cole train looks just like cole imo. I think this movie has potential with todays special effects and top notch actors I just hope they choose the right ones.

Bruce Willis is my fav choice to play Marcus.
I don't think the Rocks voice and accent would be right for Marcus.

Batista is an awesome pick guys. He even looks a little like him.

i do actually think that the rock would be a fecking great choice, go the rock :p
