You must login or register to view this content.

And also, can you still play games via HDMI or not if you're recording? Like, if you play via HDMI, will it just record in 1080i or do you actually have to change your HD settings if you want to record...

Also is there anything else I would need.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

yes u need the component and yes if ur not recording u can switch to hdmi but for me i dont switch to hdmi cuz its just alot of work to do it.......ohh 1 more thing u defenetly need a premium laptop or desktop aka gaming computer cuz they are fast......but if u dont have premium computer than use what ever u using just dont use the internet or just dont run any application except total media extreme.... because its gonna lagg (make it bad)the video recording

Like A.....
PVR no you can not use HDMI, DVR yes you can, a DVR is a card you insert into your computer so then you play on your PS3 and have it show up on your TV and PC screen you then record the PC screen with (software either with the DVR or FRAPS or somthing) only works if your PC is near your PS3.

most commonly know DVR is black magic, and others, im currently saving up for a Avermedia HD DVR,

also make sure your PC support HDCP (the encoding of HDMI cable) other wise it is a waste....

ps you will need a HDMI splitter for this but there only about 5 - 10 £/$

Yeh my computer's pretty good, it will run it. But its not a desktop so doesnt that mean I cant get a DVR?

Can I just leave the HDMI cable in? I heard you could just play in 720p, doesnt that mean you have to leave it in... I really dont wanna have to play in SD :/
