Now they were done before by taking the correct SATA cable and having it connect to the hdd in the ps3 and then on the other end of the cable to a USB connection. Is it still possible for use to use that cable again so that we can modify whats on the console and say delete, change, or add to it? I honestly don't see why this wouldn't work, as I never heard of this stop working.

i think they patched it and plus its a real bugger to get around taking the hardrive modifying it and putting it back in WITHOUT the need to replace it

if i remember correctly this was the first theory to modding and not much ever came from it (if anything at all) i don't think it would work unless a specific program was implemented to assist in the editing or extraction of these files

ahh ok I only remembered this from when i first started with the ps3 and havent updated my info. I wonder if hunter128 or theunk0wn1 still does them. As I want to try and configure some items inside.

unkn0wn did it the jailbreak if im not mistaken because thats how juddy first did it and juddy used to chill with unkn0wn alot
