(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I got my PVR today off someone on here on ebay.

I plugged it all up, pretty sure everything is right, followed a Youtube tut so... the Hauppauge is on, theres a blue light and a yellow light. I plugged the usb in and put the CD in. I registered and then loaded up the CD. At first, I couldnt get the words 'Install Arcsoft TME' - it said hardware was not compatible or something. So i ran through the disc until I found it manually and now that seems to have installed it. But when I load it up it wont detect the PVR. Clicked refresh, tried unplugging, switching power off and on.... still wont detect it. I also cant get my TV to change to Component/D-Terminal so I can play it.

Oh and my laptop is a Dell i7 4gb RAM Nvidia Gforce 525M. :/

Any ideas? :(

Lol ^ :(

Yeh I followed a tut, everything seems to be plugged in fine. Im a bit concerned that 1) It didnt let me install TME right from the start 2) There is an orange light on.... which has actually just at this moment turned off. hmm. and 3) Nothing comes up on my computer when I plug the usb in. But it does bleep.

Just curious if your drivers are up to date ? I had read a while ago that people buying these off of amazon or ebay were getting out dated models or something to that affect but since it was used I'm assuming they were using it so maybe not, sorry just trying to brainstorm.

***************
Try turning your YOUR XBOX/PS3 OFF and the PVR and then turn the PVR on first then the console.

***************
I'm assuming you have checked this, but remember your not on HDMI input anymore so make sure your on the correct one.

My computer is high end ^

Think I got it to work now. I think the orange light turning off made all the difference, it found my PVR and reinstalled all the drivers.

One quick question though, how can I get it to record my friends' voices? I can get it to record them but only if I cant hear them through my headset... I want to be able to talk to them but record their voices at the same time... hmm.

I did that.... didnt work :( Do I have to change my accessory settings? I fiddled with them a bit but nothing still, it seems its either one or the other.
