i dont know about wired connection, maybe you have a bad modem or w/e? give your internet provider a call and see whats up.

Damn Dude That's Crappy Internet

im wired stright to my modem and the only time i get bad connections is when the host has crappy interner or is wireless since it the connection to the host not the game(that why 1 game you have great connection & then the next can be crap) but if your always red then yeah time for a new provider or try a new cable my wife computer was having issues i tried every thing then got my cable for ps3 mixed up with her crappy 1 and she was good of course she was sol till she got a new 1 cuz my ps3 is more important the her papers asnd essays a useless things like that lol
