The retailer-specific pre-order bonuses for Battlefield 3 have been revealed and, as far as pre-order bonuses go, these are offering items that players might actually scratch their heads over as to who they purchase their game from. The big 3 retailers; GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon, are each offering slightly different rewards, depending on what you want in your final product, so let’s take a look…

First of all, the most important thing to note is that each Battlefield 3 copy pre-ordered from any of the aforementioned retailers will all contain the ‘Back to Karkand’ map pack that features four Battlefield 2 maps redesigned using the Frostbite 2 engine. So, regardless of who you choose to obtain your copy of BF3 early, you won’t be missing out on the maps. Secondly, the ‘Physical Warfare’ pack, which will be available through GameStop pre-orders, will be made available to all players later in the year.

The bonuses available won’t be giving any one group of players leg-up on the competition, but will instead give them some different flavor on their characters. With the exception of the ‘Physical Warfare’ pack, the items are more cosmetic than anything else. Check out the official list of Battlefield 3 pre-order bonuses below for clarification:

▪GameStop

Physical Warfare weapon pack
‘Back to Karkand’ map pack
Power-Up Rewards users receive a Prima Strategy Guide of Battlefield 3

▪Amazon

‘Back to Karkand’ map pack
Exclusive set of dog tags

▪Best Buy

‘Back to Karkand’ map pack
Unlockable set of 8 SPECACT (Special Activities) multiplayer skins

Wherever players decide to pre-order their copy of Battlefield 3, they will be able to get the extra maps which is a great benefit for all early adopters. Players of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will recognize the SPECACT multiplayer skins from Best Buy, so veteran players may feel enticed to be able to receive them once more.

It’s great to see DICE not sequestering the ‘Back to Karkand’ maps to any one retailer, a testament to their old fans and support for new ones who might not have played BF2. But even if multiplayer is your main focus for Battlefield 3, it would be unfair to not give the single-player a chance, especially since the “Fault Line” and “Thunder Run” videos look so amazing. Single player or multi, Battlefield 3 won the Game Rant E3 2011 Award for Best Shooter and you’ll want to keep an eye out for it this fall.

Who will you be procuring your copy of Battlefield 3 from?

Battlefield 3 releases October 25, 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Dude everyone copy and paste the news here for real, Why? Because People is too lazy to write them with their own words so I don´t really care if it was copied and pasted, what I care is the new
