I am from Norway, and I emailed sony and they deactivated the PS3s from my PSN within 24 hours. I think it should work just the same way for you.

i'm from UK i tried this, they wont do it they just said i should phone and gave me reference number

they phoned me and as a goodwill gesture he deactivated me 1 slot
he wouldnt deactivate all 5 but 1 is better than nothing

its stupid that they do it or everyone else via email but they wont do it in the UK, might phone them see what they say or just create new account to buy stuff
