Warner Bros. has finally pinned down the release date of Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, a digital re-release of the original Mortal Kombat arcade trilogy - Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, that is now package in one single downloadable collection.
North American PlayStation Network users can grab hold of the downloadable Arcade Kollection starting on August 30th, while other platforms and other territories will have to wait the next day. The price? US$ 9.99 or 800 MS Points.
Announced last May, the compilation features "online play, leaderboards, achievements and trophies, as well as offering fans the chance to play through the games in their original arcade state." It is developed by Other Ocean, the folks behind the XBLA adaptation of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and 8-Bit side scrolling adventure Dark Void Zero, in conjunction with NetherRealm studios.
