Usually you will get a PS3 on 3.41 firmware and below. I've heard alot of cases where people have gotten 3.56 and above. What I would do, is go to walmart and buy a PS3. If it's on 3.56 or above, I would return it and try a different store.

You could always look on ebay to see if you can pick up any bundles that you know were released before a certain firmware.
