(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have had my PS3 for nearly 2 years now and half of my games are broken all with the same problem, small cracks in the centre of the discs, I was just wondering if anyone knows what the problem is, how to fix it etc. Because I really want to get new games, but i don't want them breaking and becoming useless.

I tried to do some research, but their just wasn't very many cases of the PS3 cracking the discs. You may need to replace your Blu-Ray drive, as I think that is what plays the discs.

It could also be a disc problem, but I doubt it since you have had trouble with multiple games.

My suggestion would be to call Sony and ask them for help. More than likely they will tell you your PS3 is no longer covered under warranty, but they should tell you what you need to fix or tell you how to fix the problem.

this has happend only to my MW2 disc and i think it is due to the case of the game! what i normally used to do is just click the disc straight in but now i push the middle thing in and just hover the disc over the top and i have never had an issue since!

This has happened to 5 games of mine now (COD 4, COD WaW, MW2, Black Ops and SvR 2011) and I can see cracks starting to form on my FIFA 11 disc. :( It can't be the cases for me as I use a disc case that holds 50 discs, no button to worry about :(
