(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey people, before I ask, if I have posted this in the wrong forum I am sorry! don't hate... So I have a Easycap USB capture card to record my gaming on my Ps3 but I don't have any splitter cables just the cable with the yellow, red and white ends and the Ps3 end (no clue what its called sorry) so I can't play on my tv. I have to play on my laptop screen with no sound and poor quality! if I want sound there will be none in the video when I go to watch it -____- please don't tell me to buy a new capture card I just want to play on my t.v with what I have (I have a HDMI cable btw if that helps). THANKS

You have a Standard Definition capture card so you'll need to play in Standard Definition, As HDMI is High Definition it will have no use while you're recording.

From what I know you WILL need splitters to play on TV and not on computer screen.

I recommend you take a look on YouTube for tutorials because there's plenty out there.

If you want to Record AND play in HD you will need something like a Hauppauge HD PVR but are more costly.

you need ps3 scart cable, going to tv, then spitters on those ends, and you will need a red a white cable to go from the splitters to the capture card, as for the sound you need to go ps3- sound setting- scart or av

1) To play and rec in HD, you need HD capture card(i.e. Hauppage HD PVR)
2) You obviously need splitter, easy 2 buy them anywhere.
3) If u use S-video you can get pretty nice quality out of easycap(or dazzle)

I had the same problem but the splitters cured it. You still play on SD but you have it going to the tv and laptop. You can pick up some
splitters from an electronic shop. I got 3 for £3 in maplin (UK).

Playing in sd isn't great mate I did it for about a year when playing gamebattles and you will have to turn the brightness up as everything I sealed to capture was very dark and unappealing, you can trick a dazzle into capturing allowing you to play on your laptop screen at 720p if you use Sony Vegas there's you tube videos of how to do the setup available.

I had to change to a blitz box so I was able to play properly and have now upgraded to a gaming hd pvr

the video of the tricking it to record in 720p Is below that was on a dazzle not sure if it will work with a easycap but it's worth a try
